looking at adapting a solo for Ag use, needing it to fly a survey pattern back and fourth taking pictures.
I use a Surface pro 3 with Mission Planner to fly a fixed wing Ag drone
It has a pixhawk with a 915 MHz radio this gives it a 2.5 mile range.
From the research I've done you can only use Tower on a android device,
And the same goes for Mission planner on a windows device.
What are the pro and cons of these softwares or the devices,
I'm some what of a apple guy so I'm not well versed on android tablets and not sure which way to go...
Any inputs are greatly appreciated

Big,

I would think that Tower would be easier. I'm normally an iOS guy and only got into the Android stuff for flying. I don't use my Android devices for anything but my UAV's. I didn't take much of a learning curve. It seems like their are a lot more options with Android devices, especially if you're flying multiple platforms. The biggest issue I've had with the Android stuff is finding a good tablet. I think I've got 5 of them now. Nvidia Shield works flawlessly but the screen could be a bit brighter. New Samsung Galaxy S2 seems to be working fairly well so far and the screen is brighter.
