Is anybody here running custom firmware or compiling from the ArduPilot Master?

Is anybody here running custom firmware or compiling the firmware from the ardupilot master?

• Solo can be flown with ardupilot/master but when shipped by 3DR it runs a modified version of APM:Copter3.3.
  • The firmware can be found on Github here.
  • The source code can be found here: ardupilot, PX4Firmware, NuttX.

• Compile instructions are the same as for master ardupilot for a Pixhawk with the exception that the modified repos should be used.

Thanks for the heads up on 3DR Solo (Developer Information) Didn't know Ardupilot working on the project.
I thought we already have access to the iMX6 board Via Vu statement on FB?
Donated several times to Ardupilot, but never found any info. on the subject.

There is supposed to be an effort by some APM devs to bring Solo to Master, not sure of the level of the effort however. Been about 2 months since it was mentioned by others. There was no indication of a time frame for this to happen.

Mainly this is a RTF forum of users. I'd assume the conversation would be better over at the Ardupilot forum for this topic. @franknitty69 would be one member here that would have some knowledge. There are others, but several have moved on with the release of the PH2.1 for diy application.

latest word on the effort is end of 1st quarter at least
solo no longer runs on 3.3 they downgraded to 3,2 after EKF errors,

there are several efforts going on.
the PH2.1 that is on sell now has a carrier board that will mount an Edson, IMx6 adrino or Nvidea tx1 companion computer
I have one in my DIY right now flying PH2.1 with Edison running debian Linux with Mavproxy and dronekit live on wifi

My understanding is there has been some recent progress, saw someone getting the solo controller talking to the sololink IMX6 through mission planner the other day on master
