I have a couple controller questions
1 - is the A-B-pause still the way to emergency kill the bird with open solo green cube
2- I was thinking of getting a backup controller, has any one replaced their controller because it no longer worked

I got another controller with my 2nd Solo. It sits on the shelf as a spare. If I didn't have it, I would definitely spend the $49 to get one as a spare. That is becoming my approach to all Solo parts...they don't make these things anymore, so I want to get the parts while they're available.

I'd imagine there is or will be a surplus of controllers available. Seems the controller is not affected when Solo takes a dive or takes out a tree....;) If we were talking gimbals, then a completely different outcome.

I haven't heard of any controllers going bad, unless user inflicted. Other than stickie buttons, I've had no issues with mine. My policy is one is none, two is one.

I've got no answer to the A-B-Pause kill switch. @Pedals2Paddles surely would know.

Aye, I got one sticky button controller that I haven't fixed yet (although the fix is quite simple it seems from what I found here, ahhh good aul dremel days are coming...).
I think the other problem I've heard about with controllers it the SD card coming loose and needing to be re-seated. I know the controller is affected during a "flyaway" though. Seems if you put down the controller to chase after your bird, someone can come along and steal it...

Kind of like using a chainsaw to remove a splinter from your finger....a little overkill. Cut once, measure twice.

Oh now come on, I'm not talking about using the diamond cutting head for crying out loud! Just planning on using the soft polishing head to gently solve the issue. I mean if I wanted to go that path I'd put the large bore head on the Makita... :D
