Maximising Payload Methods

Before looking for an alternative drone, I'd like to establish from among the Pilots, what can be done to maximise a payload. ie Are flyers up-grading motors and or props of different length or pitch..? Looking at using Solo for short duration flights with max height of 80 feet.

Lots of folks have made upgrades ( try search on motor upgrade), but not to increase payload specifically..if I remember correctly the published payload of the Solo is about one pound (including gimbal and GoPro). You probably could carry a bit ore but would lose significant flight time.
Solo is pretty small. If you want to carry larger payloads look to something larger (and much more expensive).
