I'll tell you, white is mystify, lol water vapors/steam. Grey is burnt plastic or components that have solder or plastic. From my mind.

Brushed & brushless motors will run underwater... it is the electronics I would be worried about. Even trace amounts will leave behind contaminants. I run a Traxxas slash in water & snow in the winter. Just requires the electronics be sealed, the ESC on mine is waterproof so no worries there. A quick blow dry when done and all is well.

I would avoid it with an RC aircraft unless proper precautions are taken first.
