do you think that the free battery deal that best buy is asking bloggers to post " Get a FREE Solo Smart Battery (Reg. Price: $149.99) when you purchase the 3DR Solo Drone (Sku: 5354101). Valid 6/7-7/11 at Best Buy." is going to get pulled?

or are you just anti best-buy in principle?

my only concern with best-buy is that they do not show an SKU# for the solo WITH gimbal, or just the gimbal separate.

Yeah -_- I noticed it myself. I was more on the excited end of things, thinking Best Buy made a mistake, and we were all getting a 3 axis gimbal for free.... that's wishful thinking.

The Fry's guy looked up shipping dates for me the other day, and although it doesn't say whether the gimbal will be shipping at the same time, the Solo is supposed to ship from Tennessee on 6/4.

Best Buy's website pre-order says 6/1 delivery... but I doubt that is accurate. I'll by buying through Best Buy though for financing reasons. I plan on calling my local best buy this week to see if this Solo release on June 8 is on their radar.

Buying the backpack storage case and gimbal from elsewhere as they come available.

Just got done chatting with a B&H product specialist about my pre-order. I asked if they are matching the Best Buy free battery offer and they are. Their pre-orders will have an additional battery in the shipment - for a total of two. I had already purchased an additional battery so I am having that price put toward the backpack.

They still don't have a firm ship date yet.

I just looked at B&H's website and when you look at the 3DR Solo model w/o gimbal it says it includes an extra battery for free.

I just pulled the trigger on a Best Buy preorder, the second I got the order confirmation I got an e-mail saying the release date was updated.

"Order Status:: 1 item(s) preordered, release date is 06/07/2015."

^^^ goes along with what this thread's title is - Best Buy is ready to release on 6/7-6/8

Checked out B&H and took advantage of the additional battery offer and placed my order for the Solo without gimbal. Will place a separate order for the gimbal tomorrow and we will see what happens

B&H is selling the solo only shipping the beginning of June, the solo and gimble OR gimble only are shipping the beginning of July. Both solo (base or with gimble) cone with an additional battery... I don't see why any anywhere else could be different?

Spoke with Casey at 3DR customer support today and he assured me that everything is on schedule, Solo and gimabl both. Shipping may even begin today on Solo with gimabl to those faithful that pre ordered from the beginning. According to Casey, it's a first come/order first serve/order out of 3DR order que system. The first to pre order will be the first to receive. I also asked him about tutorials on how to connect/calibrate gimbal, compass and when would the app be available. His answer was a little vague in that he really had no answer other than to say that I would receive a notification email with all those details once my pre order left the warehouse in route to me. Casey said to check the 3DR website for the latest information. They're website has not updated since the Solo's release last month, nor has they're FB page. My pre order was several days after the pre order's began so I don't expect my Solo and gimbal to go out before end of May. I'm good with that.3DR not offering any free batteries according to Casey.

I pre-ordered my solo from Best Buy on May 16 and later found that B&H and DSLR-Pros were including a free battery with the order. I sent in a request to Best Buy to add a free battery to my order citing their Price Match Guarantee and the two vendors that are including the free battery for the same price.

Got back a confirmation email that they received my request and will get back to me. If this works, I'll post back here.
