Video Blacks out on iPad

I have been flying my Solos for about 3 years now. Every once in a while I don't get a video feed. I reboot the iPad and usually get it back on the first reboot. I think it was due to the iPad overheating, which I fixed with a fan mount from Sportys.

Today, I would either get no feed or get the feed and as soon as I went to record, the screen went black. I tried both Solos with separate controllers. And tried my iPad as well as my iPhone. That leads me to believe that it is the go pro camera. I shoot at 2.7k and 60 fps. I am going to try shooting in 1080 at 30fps to see if that fixes it.

Has anyone else had this problem>

Turns out, when I updated the iPad and iPhone software, it will no longer allow me to record in 2.7k at 60fps. went 1080 and it is fine. Still have the black screen but much less... 5 reboots, all good. Weird. I'm pissed that I didn't think of that on location. 1 hour each way.
