Trouble taking still photos with solex app

Hi everyone. I recently bought the Solex app and connected my 3dr drone. However I could only shoot video on my hero 4. I'm not sure if there was some setting I missed. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to take a still photo. I would be so grateful for any help

Are you doing a mission or just trying to fire off shots manually while flying (or sitting on the ground)? I've also had a few issues with pictures during missions
