Hi
How do you auto land at a different altitude from your home position, if the land position is at a lower or higher altitude
Does the auto land algorithm take altitude differences into account, and how, or will the Solo get to an altitude during auto land and assume its on the ground and cut motors?
This will also be relevant during mission planning in areas of altitude differences

Anybody experienced this or can help me
Regards

It decides it has landed when the altitude is no longer decreasing despite the throttle being low enough to descend. It doesn't matter what altitude that happens to be at. It will land properly at any altitude... at, above, or below the home altitude.

The only thing the altitude difference could effect is the descent rate relative to the ground. It descends "quickly" from your current altitude down to about 30ft above the home altitude. Then it descends much slower from that point down to the ground. So if the ground happens to be much lower than the home point, it will be a slow auto land. If the ground happens to be much higher, it could land rather abruptly.

Your best bet is to take off and land in manual mode. Throttle down to the right to arm and down to the left to disarm as soon SOLO touches the ground to power down, simple and effective.
