Solo not connecting to controller

I have the dreaded "Waiting for solo" message after about 5 flights logged. I've tried pulling the battery, and I've also tried dismantling the controller to check the SD card, but something is keeping it held together at the top end and I'm afraid to yank it apart for fear I might break it irreparably. Anybody have advice for how to proceed? The five screws are out of the controller, but something is holding the thing together pretty tight.

You have to pry the two apart. You Tube has all kind of video that show you how to fix different things on the solo. Mine did the same thing and I found a video on You Tube that showed me how to fix it.
