Solo not connecting to controller

My controller will no longer connect to solo. yes i have done the sd card thing where you take it out and put it back in, and i have also factory reset both controller and drone. yet the drone and controller proceed to have the problem happen time and time again. im wondering if anyone knows of a PERMANENT fix to this problem or will i just need to buy a new controller? Thanks!

Just went through this with a brand new 3DR and one video I watched showed an SD card in both the controller and the bird. Did you reseat both?

The SD cards have to be glued in place or they will come loose. They don't lock in like a gopro. I use a drop of super glue between the card and the metal tab (you can cut it loose if you have to)
