Will Solex work on other Pixhawk equipped aircraft like the 3DR X8

Yes, as long you have a means to connect to it.

Not sure what you me by connecting to it. I have the Taranis flight radio and the 3dr telemetry radios

Your tablet will need a connection to the drone. If you're using the 3DR telem radios, you would need a USB OTG adapter to plug the telemetry radio into your tablet. Solex has dropdown when you would select USB as the connection.

Think Kelly Schrock working on an app called SolexCC that have functionality as the standard Solex and can be used both on Solo and other RPAS.
