Solex for Samsung Devices

I found this in the Solex manual,

"Note for Samsung Users
The Android APIs explicitly allow for an application to make use of multiple
networks at a time, as of Android 5.0. On all non-Samsung devices where this
has been tested, the feature works flawlessly; Connect to Solo, open Bluetooth
settings, connect to a paired device running a tethered internet connection
over Bluetooth, and all is well (if a little slow because of Bluetooth). On
Samsung devices, you see the following message: "Unable to connect to
Bluetooth while on Wi-Fi"... which is the entire point of multi-networking in
Android 5.0 and above. The fault here is fatal, and lies entirely with Samsung. If
you find yourself reading this document prior to buying Solex and/or a tablet to
run it on, you are urged not to buy a Samsung device. Instead, use something
that works the way it's intended to work, such as a Nexus or Nvidia device."

Is this concern with a certain feature or with all features on Solex?
Has anyone had issues because you use a Samsung Device?

Thanks!

It boils down to this. If you connect to your Solo via a WiFi Connection (and how else would you connect?) you won't be able to access the internet while connected. So to download any firmware updates via solex to your drone, you're going to have to disconnect and reconnect to your Wifi, download said updates and then disconnect from the WiFi and reconnect to the drone. You basically can't have a WiFi connection and use your mobile data plan at the same time.
This also affects GoPro users who try to download GoPro updates via the GoPro app... you can't update your camera using the app at all, you have to perform a manual update.
In short it's more of a PITA than a hard stop. I have an android device and use Solex for my solo with no issues whatsoever. Still, if you have the option, buy a different device other than a Samsung, they seem to have really made some braindead decisions with their phone software choices.
