Setting focus on GoPro

What distance should a test subject be from the camera when dialing in the focus for infinity?

A lot of folks use Hyperfocal calculations.
Technically that is the way to go.and it depends on the lens.
But for me I just put mine out side and focused my lens on some tree branches about 100 feet away.
