OK --- so brand new to flying and filming.

I want to know the EASIEST way to preset (while not flying) points to fly and create missions I can repeat in future.

I have seen post on Solex and Tower so does that mean this is NOT possible in the SOLO iOS app at all?

I don't need anything to fancy but I am doing a survey project for my neighbor in which I video the land that will be used for development and return to video progress at a future date.

I don't mind picking up a Android tab if needed but already own iPad minis.

Any help or advice would be awesome!

I would recommend using Mission Planner on a PC. What you described is exactly what it was designed to do! There are plenty of threads on this forum on how to use Mission Planner so I won't repeat all the info here.

You could also fly the coarse with the Solo app and record the points using MPCC, this has the advantage of perfect shot framing using FPV. You only have to fly the cable once then it is stored in saved shot's to be flown again.

you are looking for missions in Tower (android) or Mission Planner (windows) I also understand QGC for IOS will work though I have not tried it

As was said, Tower on Android (phone or tablet) or Mission Planner on a PC will do exactly what you describe.

A word of caution, make sure you know what units of measure is being set in whichever app/program you use. Tower seems to default to feet while MP defaults to meters. I learned this when setting up a mission in MP to an intended 350 feet, and wondering why my quad seemed to be climbing so high... I flipped out of auto and brought it back down as soon as it dawned on me what I did! If I didn't violate the 400 foot limit, I was dang close!

I probably didn't, because I always watch like a hawk and am quick to abort at the first sign of the unexpected.

What do you mean by record points using MPCC?

OK --- the updated multi point cable --- I see now. Didn't realize you could save the data --- thats sounds like a possible easy option to try out.
