People keep trying to write solo off
just in the last week
New long range tx control
New Cube PH 2.1 flight controller solo edition offered
Solex now tracks an object in video
New airframe announced Terrence Jerrod

I signed up for one of the new 2.1 PH for solo and am waiting for the new airframe to launch
my backup solo is moving to a new flight controller, Master ardupilot and a new frame with bigger motors and escs

Just got back from Seattle, Lot's has been going on

Haven't tried Solex yet,
That new long range tx mod., will it also extended the video signal feed?
Can't find any info, on a new airframe?

Basically
Its a folding arm carbon fiber frame you can mount solo main board in with solo gimbal
and it will take up to 15 inch props

NightRaptor (SOLO-RFD900x) Interface

This is the NightRaptor !
It is an interface to the enable the Solo (from 3DR) to interface to our RFD900x modems.

It gives the telemetry range normally available with the RFD900x as well as RC control at the same time through a long range 900MHz link.

The Solo Modifications group on Facebook has details on the small modification required for Solo to get PPM in running.

In addition, your Solo will need to be running the master branch of Ardupilot.
Additional connections exposed on the NightRaptor are USB, CAN and battery.

Requires 2 x RFD900x modems and antennas.
Size: Profile compatible with Solo accessory bay (plugs straight in)

Weight: 21g

Works fine at walking speed. Amazing example about what can be done on the app side w/o firmware mods.

I'm guess that you'll flying Blind with the NightRaptor & RFD900x's cause i havn't seen anything related to Video within the info for ether component?

Just like Kelly said, optical follow on par with the P4, But at half the price.

is this for preliminary test of active tracking? because im confuse the guy still carrying the solo controller as far i understand tracking object without holding the controller.
