Just wondering. I see people posting about mission planning and saving the missions.

Why is this good? Scenario where this would be used? What are some of the advantages? Im guessing its gps based so the mission plans are area specific am I correct.?

Learning... Thanks in advance.

Cz,

Here's a very rudimentary example of a saved mission being run at different times. I'm not a professional, as you'll see, just trying to provide an example.

Edit: This would be more about a waypoint mission than a multi-point cable cam.

Ahhhhh. Very nice. Too bad it doesn't snow here. Southern California. But very nice

YUP! Now imagine the same thing with the pin point accuracy on Solo!
I'm about to start running a mission showing a building that just started being built. If I go take the same footage every month over the next year I'd have a nice year long timelapse from the bloody sky!! :p

An idea for you project.....

Do an orbit of the building, each successive orbit would be a different date

That's exactly what I had in mind. Another path would be a spiral up so that you're close to the ground at the beginning, and above building at the end :)

To be more precise, you could use Structure Scanner in Tower. It allows you to determine # of orbits and rise specific amount between orbits.

I'm doing a Time Lapse of the new houses being built in my (new) neighborhood where I'm buying a new house. Starting with at the dirt right now. I'm using thee different missions, each with different perspectives of the development. Should be cool to see when it's done.
