IR signals

Does anyone know if the IR signal can affect the performance of the Solo?

I would place my Sony NEX 5N with 16mm 2.8 with IR intervalometer to take aerial photographs of higher quality than the GoPro. The total weight of my camera is only 0.7 lb.

Solo does not use IR, so it should not be an issue.
