Here GPS - button on top?

Got my new Here GPS all setup and installed and flys like a dream and rock steady.

I saw in the minimalist documentation with the unit the following information about the button on top:

Safety switch - Firm press for more than 5 seconds to allow motor to spin.

Does this actually do anything with a stock 3DR cube on a solo upgraded to Open Solo?

No in any combination of cube and firmware.

In a non-Solo Pixhawk build that button can be the "safety switch" which you have to push to arm. But it is not used for anything on a Solo.
