Help.. reattach fixed camera mount

Hi Everyone..new member, new to Solo , and first post. Am hoping someone could help with a question. I recently purchased a used 3DR with 3 axis gimbal attached. I would like to reattach the fixed camera plate until i have time to learn how to fly the Solo and save up for go pro. Removal & reattachment seem simple enough but i need to know if i can just leave the hdmi & data cables hanging loose within the cable bay. Not sure if any of those cables are hot and don't want to short anything out. Anything i need to look out for when i do this?.... Thanks

You'll be fine leaving the data cable in the Solo and running the hdmi through the fixed mount.

Great..and thanks! Plan to fly without any camera until i can order a cheap knockoff. I assume i can leave the hdmi loose too?

FYI just be VERY careful when you remove the HDMI cable from the Gimbal (they break off) hold on to it and wiggel it out, same on install.
