Has anyone been to Brazil yet?

This is Soo last minute... Leaving for Brazil today. Rio to be exact. I'm hearing rumors of customs retaining drones, holding them so they can't enter Brazil. And then I read something about how Brazil is open to drone flying and rated 5 out of 5 as a drone friendly region. I've taken my Solo Bird to the Bahamas and just had to leave money at customs to bring it on the island. Actually they asked for 50% of the value. Anyways.... Has anyone been to Brazil?

drones are not permitted to come through customs in brazil. it will get confiscated and you may never get it back. the funny thing is that it's actually ok to fly a drone in brazil. so if you want to fly one, you'll need to ship your drone or borrow a carioca's.
