GoPro recording

do I have to have a Sd card in my go Pro when trying to record to my phone's camera roll? The problem I'm having is every time I click record it will record a zero second video and instantly quit recording. Our use the go Pro hero for black edition. Any help would be appreciated

You need a card in the GoPro to record in the camera. Hitting record on the screen is commanding the camera to record. The screen capture recording is a setting in the app, and records the screen to the camera roll when the GoPro is recording.

Ha ha thank you for the reply I went to Walmart and bought a nice mini SD flew and got videos right away working like a charm now
