Well , I was looking hard at a bugs 4w and ended up with a used solo with gimbal for $100. Been lurking here a while and found lots of answers and came up with lots of questions. I have an electronics background as well as composite molding and cnc so I do a lot of DIY, solo looks like it will be a great platform. I intend to mainly use it to stalk the local wildlife ( patterning deer) and will eventually outfit it with a thermal camera.
It came without props so I intend to start out with some raycorp 1045 props.
For camera I intend to use a runme r3 I got for $20.
Looking forward to playing with this and doing some mods already.
Once I'm fully confident it's in good working order ( seems to be so far) I'll be going to the latest opensolo and solex.
