Custom Wifi SSID without "solo" name in it.

Has anyone ever tried this?
I'm guessing it's a matter of sshing into the TX and into the SOLO and editing config files.
*carefully* as to not lose connectivity when things reboot!

It's just a cosmetic thing.

Nothing as complicated as that. Just go on the solo app, click settings, solo, WiFi-settings and change the WiFi SSID and password. It's covered in section 2.74 of the 3dr solo user manual. https://3dr.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/v9_02_25_16.pdf

Nope that does not do it.
It auto appends "Solo_" to the SSID.

My ask was how to use a custom SSID *without* that in it.

That's weird. It's not like that for me. Maybe I have a different model. Or maybe the previous owner of my solo already did the mod. Either way I have no idea how to change it.

The application does not provide any means to remove sololink_ from the WiFi SSID. What you're saying is not correct and cannot be done today. The application is forcing it, not just the files on the Solo and controller. So you can't just change some files on the Solo and be done. The app is still set that way. And the app is not changing.
