Controller Antenna Direction

3DR released a new video today and something caught my eye..

The way he has the antenna's pointed on his controller (see photo)

Here is what 3DR manual says to do ( See Photo Below)

i have aways pointed mine the wy the manual says as i wasnt sure if moving them would cause connection..

Can anyone shed some light on this so i better understand why they are pointed this way...

probably works well at close range like that, however under and slight out would work at longer ranges.

He probably knows something we dont.

i was thinking that as well, just thought i would see if anyone had any secret information lol. thanks for your reply.
