Constant beeping alarm and magnetic interference

...Have any of you seen the movie 'Hunchback of Notre-Dame', The Bells, The Bells (The Bleeping, The Bleeping) OMG, can it please stop.
I suppose it's good at times, to be hard of hearing. Either don't hear all those beeps or they are not loud enough to disturb me. I like the haptic feedback of the controller.

ETA: ..and yes, the controller is the 'router'.

Factory Reset Failed.
Procedure: I reset the controller no problem. (Power & Fly)
Results:Update with request to Press A to Continue, followed by 'Connect to Solo App ........'

Procedure: Depressed the Pair button with thin screwdriver and Power-up of Solo.
Results: Small orange LED started flashing fast
Removed screwdriver.
All 4 Main LED' on Solo turn green color
30 seconds after Power-up, beeping starts
All 4 main LED's on Solo turn a) Red in back, b) Blue in front
Small orange LED starts blinking once per second
Beeping continues for 10 minutes
Had a coffee and cigarette,
Slid slightly down to a state of less sanity.
Loaded Solo App & Tower
Connected with Wifi using tablet
Attempted to connect to Solo,
No answer. (Lights on door locked)
Power off.
Beautiful silence.

You may need to do a reset. The MP wizard is not for the Solo, it is for other craft that use the existing Pixhawk, APM etc. When it told you that your FW was out of date and you allowed it to upload to Solo, you erased the Solo FW.
I did exactly the same, used MP wizard (I think I did the same, Firmware upload). Now all attempts at Factory Reset fail. Is there a final or any other solution to fixing my Solo?

If you overwrote the stock FW on the Solo, you may have to re-image the disk in the PH. Not sure if that can be done through SSH, you can ask @franknitty69 here or over in the FB Mod group. Otherwise you will need to dig down into the Solo to retrieve the SD card to put the factory image back on there. It's not something I have had to do so I do not have the file. But it's out there and available.

I have sent him a message. Thanks for the link advice and your thoughts (You provide hope, for which I am severely lacking at present).

My Solo started beeping loudly after I used the Wizard within Mission Planner.
I tried a Factory Reset, but that failed.
My Solo starts beeping loudly every time I power-on.
My Controller (connected to my tablet via WiFi) fails to locate my Solo.
I have attempted a factory reset at lease 7 times; all end the same way.
Standard reset of controller. No problem.
Standard Reset of Solo. Small orange LED flashes quickly.
All green lights on Solo.
Then both blue light in front, red lights at rear.
Then beeping that never stops.
Small orange LED blinking once every second.

Given I'm in central Sierra Leone, and therefore have no drone store nearby,
I may have to fly to South Africa and purchase a new Solo.
Does anyone know of any surgery I can conduct to get my Solo airborne.
(I am even prepared to perform witchcraft involving blood).

I received very helpful advice from 3DR Support (Owen).
Here is summary.

1) Pair the device to controller
Pairing the Controller | 3DR - Drone & UAV Technology
Although this did not stop the beeping, I now have control over my Solo

2) Load Default parameters (To stop the beeping)

For Mission Planner:
- Connect to the SoloLink WiFi network
- Open Mission Planner
- Select UDP on the top right dropdown menu
- Click on Connect
- Go to Config/Tuning
- Full Parameter List
- Look and change SYSID_SW_MREV to 0
- Click on Write Parameters (on the right side)
- Disconnect and reboot Solo

All is sweet. Tomorrow I'm airborne.

Glad you got it going. Apparently you did not overwrite the FW completely like you thought. Good luck tomorrow..

Hi
My 3DR solo keeps beeping at a very high rate. The controller message indicates magnetic interference. I tried to re-calibrate level and compass no joy.
Should I reset to factory settings? or any other solutions

Kevin
I had the same problem I changed the ant leg and the compass was on the leg 180 making the SAME PROBLEM, did you do ANYTHING WITH ANY OF THE ANTENNAS?

I had a somewhat similar problem. I am pretty sure I turned the battery on and off a few times while it was out of the solo, and put it back in. No more warnings.
