I just ran into the same problem yesterday - immediately after doing GPS lock the Solo Controller reports "Calibration Error please restart Solo". Restarting the Solo and a fresh calibration using the Solo application did not resolve the problem.
I'm not sure if it's related, but on the flight just prior to this happening, I did notice that the Solo twice twitched several times (pitched right, stabilized, pitched right, stabilized...). No reported problem during the flight, but after landing, replacing battery, and powering on I got the error.
There are other threads about this problem - do a search and you'll find many discussions - many times an IMU failure.
I have opened a ticket with 3DR and received a response asking for more information within a couple of hours. This is the second time that I've opened a ticket with them (first time for a bad battery purchased on eBay) and they responded quickly both times.
