Been awhile so my 3DR isn't connecting anymore

OK so last summer i got help re-programming my 3DR solo to the new open solo 4 and the ipad app "Side Pilot". The help i got was from john brotherton and Charliekeck. Everything has been working great and the solo had been flying great however it has been around 10 months since i could fly it again. I tried today but for some weird reason the solo would never show the wifi link on my ipad. This is the sequence in which i have always used to get it going. 1. Turn on Ipad, 2. Start controller 3. Turn on solo battery 4. Connect to sololink wifi 5. Start Side Pilot app and make sure every thing works then fly. For some reason number 4. connect to sololink never shows up in my wifi options anymore. Is there a quick and easy fix to this so i can fly again soon as i cannot figure it out.

See if the SoloLink WiFi shows up on any other devices like a tablet or computer. If not you should factory reset the controller.

Hey Jon, no it does not show up on my phone or laptop wifi. Can you remind me how to reset it to factory and what i will need to do to get it back after that. It's been a long time

Turn the controller off, then hold the Fly and Power buttons for 15 seconds while it boots up. When it finishes, you may have to Pair the Solo to it. I believe Pairing is in the Owners Manual.

i set it back to factory then went through the manual for pairing, tried about 20 times with the pair button but it will never say detected new solo. it just sits there saying waiting for solo. Also Charliekeck said something to me about your patches but i guess i never say anything about patches for my ipad. i saw something pop up about mavlink or something like that, is that something i should try? what patches is he talking about exactly

OK it looks like i finally got it to connect. took out controller battery for awhile, reset to factory then was able to pair devices and calibrate the compass through the app. woot woot
