What does the solo have for 2.4Ghz antennas on board? There's a million threads and videos about controller antennas, but nothing I can find about the antennas on the solo itself.

Has anyone ever put upgraded antennas on the solo, foregoing the antennas in the legs.

the antennas onboard solo are standard ufl whisker antennas. i've seen one solo modified with rubber duckies on it. it belongs to one of the 3dr devs.

I prefer omnidirectional antennas, so will not be getting anything like the RF Cannon that FPVLR makes. As such, I was thinking a left and right hand circular polarized antenna on both the solo and the controller. Gets rid of loss from vertical antennas not being held vertical. And gets rid of loss from multi-path.

Forgive me, but isn't that what the fpvlr is? "As such, I was thinking a left and right hand circular polarized antenna"

Yes, but they're highly directional. You have to be pointing the antennas at the drone to be effective.

Maybe, if they help a lot. They sure take away from the looks of Solo, though.
Actually I think the legless Solo franknitty showed us looks pretty cool with those antennas!

I have to agree. Legs detract from the look of drones. Maybe someone will come up with retractables!
