3DR using Alfa Antenna in their marketing?

So does this mean 3DR supports the use of Alfa antenna boosters with the 3DR solo and confirms that we shouldn't see any issues should something happen? Interesting that they would show their own product with 3rd party antenna's on their own website.

I doubt seriously if 3DR would not honor a warranty issue simply due to alpha antenna
The only way that would happen is if it could somehow be directly attributed to a crash

Yea this came up long ago with fpvlr and I'm pretty sure he contacted 3dr and was told it wouldn't affect our warranty using 3rd party antenna options.

They wouldn't have any way to know what antennas were being used unless you told them.

Submitted log data indicating operation at unusual range or unusually high received signal strength at any range would be pretty good indicators that the antennas are not the stock ones.

But it would be kind of hard for them to argue that a crash was caused by unusually robust received signal.
