What GoPro Hero 4 Black firmware should I be using?

Having videofeed issues -- was told to check my firmware. Apparently there's a version that is best for recording in 1080p? Anyone know what this is and how I can get it on my GoPro (and remove whatever I currently have?)

I use 5 but some swear by 3.whatever. May not be the Gopro.

I use 5 as well. From what I've read on here, the only thing you loose going from 3 to 5 is camera turning ON automatically when Solo is turned ON.

I just booted up my gopro and it says I have 1.02.01

If it we me...I would update to v5.0, then proceed from there.
From the GoPro manual:
"To get the latest features and best performance from your HERO4
camera, make sure you are using the most current camera software.
You can update your camera software via the GoPro App or GoPro

I updated from 2 to 5.0 on my Hero 4 black and all works great except turning go pro on and off, but no big deal

i use 5.0 and gopro is turned off when solo turns off but not on in opposite.

As to the on/off issue with v5. With the Green Cube the GP has on/off issues with v3 as well so you might as well go with v5 and get the most out of the GP.
