What upgrades can be done to solo...

The firmware in Solo, and in the gimble, and in the controller, as well as the version of the app, can all be upgraded. Many hardware mods are possible; fans of each will enthuse about them in replies below. I've only done the improved 3DR GPS Shield mod and replaced the props with Master Airscrew props, both of which I highly recommend.

Step One is to read all about the update process in the Solo User Manual, section 2.7.5, "Update". Step Two is to follow those instructions.

If you use an app other than the 3DR Solo app, or hardware other than 3DR's, see their respective documentation for update information.
