Understanding GoPro setting

I read through the sticky and searched but want to make sure I'm correct. Only used hero4 black twice set to 2.7k 30fps and had some stuttering. Had solo speed/rotate on the second slider setting. So not very fast.

Stuttering occurred when rotating the gimbal and when turning. I thought with these setting I would be ok but apparently not. Should I only use 30fps for very slow fluid movements to avoid stuttering or is something else wrong?

Stuttering = jerky or choppy movement. It stutters when viewing live though my iPgine and when using Quik software.

Computer specs are i3, 3.5ghz, 2 core, 4 processors, 6gb, nvidia GeForce gt 630.

Maybe 1080 at 60fps is better for anything other than the slowest speeds? I used the 2.7k settings from the sticky FYI. I was hoping to get good resolution with decent speed but maybe I'm hoping for too much.

Thanks!

How are you rotating your gimbal?

Just updated with computer specs was thinking maybe that's it but it stutters on my iPhone view as well.

Rotate gimbal with the toggle. Reason I was using 30fps was so I could use linear mode on GoPro. When I set it to 60fps I lose that view.

I guess I've never used rotate. Didn't know it would. It will pitch up and down with the toggle.

are you guys talking yaw
you cant yaw the gimbal, you yaw solo

Don was being a dick he's trying to win today's internet biggest penis award.. Anyway I get the stuttering when the gimbal moves UP and Down. I also get it when I yaw the solo. It doesn't happen every time seems to happen when I had the stick at full yaw. That being said I only had the performance setting on the second slider notch.

post the vide with an example, maybe that will help

Didn't make a Youtube video out of it was just messing around with Quik for the first time. Will try to figure it out later and post it.

Is your stuttering on the video saved to your iPhone? Or the video saved to your GoPro's SD card. It sounds like you're talking about the video on your iPhone, which is completely irrelevant. That is a low-resolution preview not intended for actual use in production. Its is so you can take a quick look at what you recorded. Or for troubleshooting if the drone crashes into a lake. The high resolution, high quality video is on the SD card in your GoPro.

This seems like a good spot to post this... I swapped out the stock lens on my brand new GoPro Hero 4 Silver with a 4.35mm 1/2.3 (72 degree) HFOV 10mp lens I got off ebay for $11, changed the FOV to medium on the camera and there are no pink corners on any of my videos or single shots. I'll still probably get bombarded by SARDG with a spaghetti can for posting this in the wrong place but I was pretty jazzed that my dumbass made something work. The lens swap video I watched from Peau was very helpful in taking apart a brand new $350 camera!!! Hope this will help others if thinking about GoPro upgrades.
No, not a good place to post this. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the topic. If you have to say "someone will probably get mad at me for posting this in the wrong place", why would you post it there?? You know it is off topic and distracting. But you do it anyway?? Start another thread.

By mistake I had 2 different windows open on my computer and was watching one thread and reading another. BY MISTAKE ! ! ! I accidentally posted on the wrong thread. I am sorry to have disrupted the lives of many and caused mayhem worldwide. (The Russians hacked my laptop...) Enjoy your day sir.

Considering you specifically said you expect to get flak for posting this in the wrong place by specific members of the forum, and your opening sentence was of the same nature, I believe you are lying. Next.
