tlog Files

I know this has probably been discussed numerous times but how on earth can I retrieve tlog files from solo.

I know how to SSH into solo but I cannot find any log files ending in tlog (or solo.tlog). I thought maybe renaming some of the log files to tlog but I can't get it to work.

What I'm trying to do is replay my flight in mission planner but all research I've done only leads me to downloading log or bat files which doesn't work with the replay, only allowing analysis of the flight.

AM I missing something here?

Yes, you are. The tlogs are stored in the controller as well as your tablet (Android anyway). There is quite a bit of info on the subject on this forum. You might start here..

Use something like WinSCP to SSH into the controller via WiFi. Make sure you connect to the controller using IP 10.1.1.1. Go to root > logs and you'll find tlog files from all the past flights. The solo itself would be 10.1.1.10, and you won't find tlogs there.

Found them, didn't think there was another IP address for the controller.

Anyway, now that I've retrieved what I was after, have a look at this hair-raising flight. I thought I was going to lose it in the sea at one point but I'm nit entirely sure why there was a sudden loss of height with a seemingly loss of gps. The controller informed me of gps loss and went into manual mode. I manged to keep it aloft untill gps signal required but it seemed to recover quick to a attribute gps loss. I admit, it was pretty windy that day though

Can you post the log so we can take a look. FYI, losing GPS doesn't have any effect on altitude. Fly Manual mode uses the same altitude hold control as Fly.

Just rename the file by remove the '.zip' from the end.

Looking at the log files on the solo itself doesn't attribute any gps error at all

Just had another flight in the same location, but today it's clear and sunny. Lost gps signal twice despite having 16 SATs. Not had a look at the logs yet.

The logs shows that first you lost the control signal, as in went out of range. That engaged the RTH failsafe. Shortly thereafter, there a glitch in horizontal position. The GPS and IMU were conflicting. It looks to me like the GPS was giving bad data.

That huge descent, I don't know why. The solo did it on purpose. It commanded a descent and it got it. Desired and actual altitude were never out of alignment. IDK.

I did swap out he GPS following this guide:

I wonder if this is the problem.

After careful review of all configuration settings within the gps, it appears I didn't change the nav5 to <4g, it was set to <2g. This could explain the conflict of information sent to the IMU.

Need to test it now once this damn rain goes
