Second mission much smoother, Not the typical nervous jitters associated with Flying a drone, no Props spinning at death defying speeds and no pucker factor, just a giggle while sending it off on a mission LoL...I like it alot...It acts like a lost puppy tee-hee,,,

BTW: A big thanks to Paddles "Matt Lawrence" and "Kelly Schrock" (Solex) and the community for OpenSolo you can literally flash any ardupilot software on the solo Pixhawk setup and revert it back using Solex and OpenSolo with no issues Great work highly recommended!

Well, this guy is not as cool as @XevetS and isn't running Solo but APM 2.6 instead. Anyone recognize the body on this telepresence robot?P1180459.JPG P1180458.JPG

Very interesting... why did you switch from Pixhawk 2.0 to PixHawk 2.1 (on the last picture)? Also you don't use original solo battery?

That is not a greencube I just put green tape over it, its still the original pixhawk, 2.0 and yes you can use any 3~4 cell battery to power the solo...I had no battery telemetry but that's ok if your running a rover that does not fly around, if it loses battery power it just stops and doesn't fall out of the sky....

there are many possibilities with the solo's electronics ArduPilot Solo Tailsitter 1

All we need now is a "how to" guide and we can all build one. Screw this aerial survey rubbish, I want a solo rover with a GP fusion on it to make a 360 survey!

Thanks, XevetS. Where did you connect inputs of your ESC and steering servo to Solo's mainboard?
