Remote access to Gopro

Does the remote start and stop for recording thru the gopro only work when you have the 3 axis gimbal or can it work with just the stationary mount?

It will work with the stationary mount.

The remote start and stop will only work with the gimbal. There is no data/control connection between the GoPro and the Solo without the gimbal. The stationary mount only allows the HDMI video out to hook up.

That's the info I needed. I just didn't know if there was a work around.
