I was given a n old "ardupilot" that I think was made by 3DR. I would like to use it to get started learning without breaking the bank. I know it's going to need a gps module at a minimum.

I can't seem to find out exactly what model it is or any documentation for it. I am certain it's not supported any more- but I'd like to get any old firmware (rover specific if possible) to experiment with it.

Its picture is below.

Any guidance or direction on where to start would be appreciated!!

It looks like an old APM 2.6 or 2.8. It’s no longer supported by the current firmware but an old version should work. Something before version 3.3.0 which was the last copter version it was supported. Not sure about what rover version it would be but it's around 2014. Try some of the ones listed here. ArduPilot firmware : /Rover
