All on and set I downloded open solo clean install 4.0.0 got part way through that then controller died

You hold the power button and the fly button down I've done that but it says it has to update may take 5 minutes

Let it complete, it takes that long. Then try the SOLEX upload. What file are you attempting to upload?

Don't worry when the screen goes dark for awhile, it'll come back.

What does the screen say after they pair? Then try turning off Solo and power cycle the controller and insure that you see the Wifi from the controller on a side computer. So in Solex, does the Wifi hotspot appear in the list?

Leave Solo off and just see if the controller hotspot WiFi appears...takes a minute or so.

If that works, you can SCP into the controller and follow that procedure.

In that case I'd SCP into the controller and follow that path...after the .......AND RESET command from PUTTY, let it go and wait for the controller to reset ...it should come up as Open Solo 4 at that point. Solo does not need to be on while doing this. Following that, you should be able to bind to the Solo.

Just to be sure, what colors are the lights on the Solo? If they are stuck on all 4 green you'll need to flash the Cube manually to get it unstuck.
