I see this as a problem as the Solo gimbal will not support any of GoPro's new Line of cameras.
Input?

Not a problem for a few years. New still in stock, factory refurbs, and ebay used will be available for a long time. If 3DR ever releases the source code for the gimbal firmware, it will allow developers to build new solo compatible gimbals for other cameras.

Just bought a third one a week ago from B&H for about $320. And it came with a bunch of different mount and stuff. Not naked

This should have been what GoPro was doing for years... Aftermarket gimbals for all sorts of drones, with appropriate cameras. Instead they try to build a drone? Insane. Their camera isn't even optimized for drone work.

This would be huge...DJI wins because their gimbal works well enough, and they have the best cameras (at least now). If an updated gimbal with a 1" sensor was available for $600 (what DJI charges for their P4P part), Solo would be as viable today as 2 years ago.

If GoPro focused on what they can do, and kicked ass, they would have Yuneec, Autel, 3DR, DJI, whoever building drones for them.

Hoped the release of the H5B would bring those prices down:(

I did see that B&H has a new gopro 4 Black on sale for $299 no shipping or tax.
