Hmmmm... I see your point but at the same time I would think the gimbal might contribute somewhat to lessening any effect form vibration as well as keep the camera level.

That's the one of the main features of the gimbal, it's to do exactly that. I'm not sure I understand the question you are asking?

Are you asking if the controller controls the gimbal? Then the answer is, it controls the tilt of the camera. The leveling aspect of the gimbal is done automatically.

Reread what he was replying to in your quote. He was replying to someone who said the gimbal wouldn't benefit photos - only video - which of course isn't true.
