Gimbal for gopro5

Hi All.

Does any of you have any sneak peak of upcoming gimbal for gopro5?

I hope that we will have new hw from 3dr instead of some OEM company.
If 3dr will abandon idea of creating gimbal for gopro5 ... any of you have any experience with MiNi 3D Pro ?

That company makes good stuff.

I would doubt the GP 5 is any different in size. There are a string of after market accessories the GP5 needs to be compatible with.

Just my thoughts.

Not doomed

.. If we know 4 sure that 3dr will not make gimbal for gopro5 then we can ask oem producent to create gimbal for us.
Since feyiu is on the market for some time and they are creating gimbal with encoders maybe them?

The h5 form factor should work with the existing gimbal but I can't be certain about the software.

Not sure about that. Without the Bus connection on the back, the GP4 won't fit either. I also have the Mapir camera and it is the same dimensions as the GP4 but will not fit in the gimbal due to the Bus connector.

Wow, think if things never changed/advanced. You'd still be using 8-bit ISA addon cards on your 286/8MHz/4 color because, well, many people already have ISA accessories and we wouldn't want to force them to upgrade. If you go to 16 bit we all have to upgrade. What? Now you want a 32 bit bus? ok, go buy new stuff, again. What? They're up to 64 bits now? Damn, gotta go replace everything again.

What? Apple is getting rid of the standard 3.5mm headphone jack that has been a standard for decades? Damn, gotta buy new headphones or a ridiculously overpriced adapter, that my cat will end up chewing the hell out of. What? 1080p? Damn, gotta go upgrade my betamax. Stereo? Well gosh, I just bought these sweet mono headphones with a 1/4" jack.

Things change (progress) all the time, thankfully.

That's true. If the rumors about the h5 being waterproof (a la Session) are true then the hbus on the back may be gone or different but I guess time will tell.

If they made it a slightly different form factor, it would force consumers to buy all new accessories at their own expense. Who ever do such a thing......

I'm sad to hear everybody is so displeased with the footage from their GP4 Blacks! But I can really understand needing a waterproof camera for a water-phobic drone. [sarcasm off]

I think people forget that you should upgrade for a reason, not just because somebody releases something new. I personally will not change my drone camera unless the GP5 is a 12bit camera, I'm tired of the 8bit footage falling apart when color grading...

Want great footage? Check out Black Magic Micro Cinema Camera. Fly with a Pixhawk2-driven hex. You could have hollywood quality for $2000, all up (but definitely not RTF). But Pixhawk2 is not 3DR, so I'll stop now.
