Gimbal bench test

I saw a thread with a similar title, but this issue was not addressed.

I just bought a used gimbal as a spare. It looks to be in good shape. Does anyone have suggestions for doing some basic bench testing? I'd rather not uninstall a gimbal and install this one just for testing.
