flir tau 2 thermal camera on 3dr solo

Hi i have an flir tau 2 640 thermal camera, and i want to use this on the 3dr solo with the orginal videolink

And i also want to control tilt on the gimball.

I have looked on some gimballs 2 Axis Flir Tau 2 Thermal Gimbal for 3DR Solo

but this gimball do need an extra videolink and screen

Is it somebody who knows how to use the orginal videolink on the 3dr with flir?

I can't help with this, but there was mention of "Flir" in this thread a few weeks ago...maybe check with that guy.

You're going to want the camera link accessory module from FLIR and then a cheap analog-to-HDMI converter. Then plug in an HDMI-to-Micro HDMI and you should have video feed thru the app.

is it the vpc module you mean by camera link accessory module ? i have the vpc module on my flir tau 2

I'd think that should do it. The imx.6 will take any valid hdmi and fire it down the link...

what is the best solution to power the 4.0 - 6.0 VDC power supply to the flir tau 2?
is it best to use an extra battery maybe?

Gimbal connector has battery power on it. Accessory bay port has USB power available.
