Can you are other action cameras besides GoPro

Go pros are expensive and I found action cameras that are for 60 and 4K quality will that work what cameras do you other people use

It won't work correctly with the gimbal. I've heard of people rigging them on but you lose all control of the camera from the gimbal.

I won an Activeon action camera from a Best Buy giveaway. Specs are similar to GoPro. Plus it has a touch screen. BUT the picture quality is no where near my GoPro. I only use it for fun videos.

I use the Firefly (Hobbyking) on the fixed mount. Has HDMI out that I connect for live video.
Will record in 4K but battery life is short (15 min) when connected to the HDMI.
