To become a pilot you must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English (exceptions may be made if the person is unable to meet one of these requirements for a medical reason, such as hearing impairment)
• Be in a physical and mental condition to safely operate a small UAS
• Pass the initial aeronautical knowledge exam at an FAA-approved knowledge testing center

I'm not sure what you're asking. You already own and fly one. Your question is asking if you can do something you already do.

I think the question is probably more of whether the FAA will certify someone who's deaf. From what I can find, the deaf can attain pilot licenses for any type of aircraft and/or flying that does not require radio communications. How this will effect UAV operations is a question. It would seem unreasonable to place stricter rules on UAV operations than on actual passenger aircraft.

Best bet would be to contact an FAA office and ask, they'll most likely have to look into the issue themselves as this is all so new. It seems the FAA is making every effort to work UAV operations into the system as opposed to simply restricting it as much as possible.

I speak of 107 and I know a few who deaf pilots carry section 333 iill call FAA and then will share with you the result. thanks
