camera keeps pointing down on follow me

So I started trying to figure out "follow me" but the camera keeps pointing down and it won't keep me in the frame when it follows me Even if I angle the camera back up it will slowly angle back down. what I am doing is fly the solo up in the air get it into position with me in the center of the frame and then select follow me from the list and I get the 3,2,1 countdown and then the camera angles down? Anybody have any ideas?
