Auto Record during Shots

Has this become hit and miss for you guys?
on Android, all software latest everything

doesnt work in zipline nor selfie
works in orbit (sometimes?)
i think cable cam is fine.

Some times im too focused setting up the shots to remember to hit record...so now I just start recording before take-off and leave it at that.
