Amazon deal is back

Have you tryed to calibrate sticks.. here is a how to http://thepaperfile.com/public/3dr/calibration.sticks.windows.pdf
Thanks Texzin. I did see this suggestion in another thread. I'm new car smell new to this adventure and complicated with this being a brand new bird thought I should go the Ticket route. That said, if you don't think I will compromise my 3DR warrenty relationship I'm all in to give it a shot. Is this a can't hurt to try procedure?

After a month of waiting, my Prime Day deal was delivered last night...
Order details on my Amazon Solo order have shown "Shipping today" for the last 3 days... Apparently Amazon-days in this case are >72 hours long. I'm not in a hurry though. They did charge my Prime CC about 4 days ago.

After a month of waiting, my Prime Day deal was delivered last night. The original deal came with Gimbal installed, Backpack, and 8 Props. Not sure how long they have been including the leg extenders but I ordered a set with a spare battery and lens filters, then found the included extenders in the little box with the weights and Sun shield. Went through the unboxing ceremony and updates. At the very end of the process the Controller threw a Controller Stick Error. I figure good that happened before the props got spinning. Got my ticket in but Monday is a long way off. Bummer.
you can look up the calibration tutorial video on youtube. All suport is going to do it send you the exact same link.

calibrating will not hurt your warranty.

What frame do you guys recommend? The Flip is no longer available. The 650 looks good for a first build.
Thoughts?
My DIY is on the tarot ironman 650 frame. I added an additional deck to hold the 8escs and added coaxial mounts for an x8 configuration

I think Tarot is a good way to go when picking a frame. My next build will be on the Tarot x4.

Thanks. I'm android. So do I use the putty terminal app instead?

To Texzin, SARDG, and STMPNGRND- THANK YOU!!! I ran the Stick Calibration. It took a couple tries as I don't think I was going through the stick movements correctly at first. I used the putty terminal on my Win machine. Ran my first battery out on the Solo Simulator App. Me thinks I'll run out a few more before I spin the real props.
BEST to you all!

Did I doubt that somewhere?? I have done Stick cals on both my controllers - and factory resets, and compass and level cals whenever I perceived them as necessary. I'm a real "fools rush in" kinda gal.

sorry tagged the wrong person

Seems overall 3dr isn't voiding any warranties for much anything short of swapping out essentials to other products. I've not seen or heard of much that caused them not to honor things on their end. Mine was shipped a day after the year and replaced since I filed the ticket before the warranty expired and they were great Imo. I'd done the early gps fix lil hack and my own gps cover and some other small things as well as factory resets and things, none of it was even mentioned. Pretty happy with service after you get past the initial everything looks fine few answers, then troubleshooting again. Their just to try and weed out folks just wanting a new bird free or scams of one kind or another I'm sure. Sad they have to do it, but totally understand now days.

I wish I could get the 2nd Solo at this price in Italy...
Unfortunately this price/bundle is only for USA....

The 599 bundle price is still good at 3DR store this weekend with the coupon code '599SOLO'. Amazon still has bundle deal too.

It was good until midnight Sunday. I stumbled on it when I was in their web store yesterday. Based on all the stores that have had this bundle deal a couple times including 3DR, I'm sure it will show up again. At 599 this bird is an amazing chunk of technology to get.

I wished I'd waited, I just got another one from Bestbuy. Too many drones, so little time. This is a great deal with the backpack. Why aren't the Phantom 3 Pros hitting a lower price now that the 4 is out? I would have thought DJI would put them on shelves close to the 3DR sale price.
