Does anybody use a good backpack that fits the 3dr solo and can hold a computer that I can carry on an airplane? I can't seem to find any as the 3dr solo is a weird shape, and all the other drone backpacks are made for DJI. If anybody can help, please do. Thanks!

This is a semi-soft case and would not suggest allowing it to get "checked" if the overhead bins are full. I carry my batteries inside the case to insure it does not go into the cargo hold. It may get placed in a closet by the attendants but at least its not being crushed by other suitcases.

Not sure how handy you are but I like to tinker and made my own backpack that works surprisingly well and holds a ton of stuff. I started with this bag online:

Amazon.com : 40L Outdoor Expandable Tactical Backpack Military Sport Camping Hiking Trekking Bag (Black 08001A) : Sports & Outdoors

I grabbed 2 pads of 24x24x2 inch foam and a 24x24 plexiglass sheet from my local home improvement store, $20. I cut the plexiglass with a dremmel tool to match the back of the bag. I cut the foam with a bread knife to hold the 3DR, controller and two batteries and glued the two foam pieces together with spray adhesive on the plexiglass. I can remove that whole "plexi-foam" piece and still use the bag for other things. The bag has two straps inside so I clip em on, tighten up and I'm gone. It has a large pocket in the back that I've put my 14 in laptop in. That pocket wont hold much more than 9.25 inches between the zipper but goes down about 17 inches. So far I've been on a little hike and other than being large for the people behind me it was nice. The 3DR was really stable and it's not incredibly flashy so I didn't draw a ton of attention. All for about $57 depending what tools or equipment you have.
