I don't why but after last update 2.4.2 my flight time gone from 12-15 minutes just to 3-5 minutes, I have 2 battery and it's the same problem with both...I couldn't believe that $ 35 drone give you more flying time than $2,000 money spent drone.:mad::mad:

Download your logs and see graph your Amp draw and Voltage. This should help determine the problem.

Hmmm... would take a heck of a current draw to reduce flight times to 3-5 minutes, Suppose it's a place to start though. At any rate OP, approximately one gazillion people are flying 2.4.2 without those results...

Yes. It would take one heck of a current draw. This could be a case of someone fully charging batteries and then letting them sit fully charged for long periods of time. That's a great way to kill a LiPo.

But those are mutually exclusive problems.

We never get the full story with these posts, but most certainly, the issue isn't with the update.

Seeing that the OP has made only two post and both issues were with batteries...can we assume they are not interested in solving the problem....but only here to complain. 1 Year warranty on batteries still applies, easy fix if you make the effort.

Easy to say when you live inside the USA, I personally called 3DR, the response.... "we don't send that to Puerto Rico, we don't send the other to Puerto Rico... bla..bla. bla.. we"re sorry !!!. I am seeking for people who help me solve the problem, so I came here otherwise I buy a new battery and problem solve. By the way Best Buy Puerto Rico sales 3DR Drones !!

Again, you posted in May and then there was no further interaction. And now same/further issues and worse. Plenty of resources here on the forum, but you have to work on resolving on your own rather than....

I call BS on 3DR not offering to help, seems you're not helping yourself. But hey, good luck and I hope you can get this resolved.

The issue with batteries... strange how it's been so difficult to get answers about the simplest of things! From the start we've wondered how to properly store batteries. Of course we know how to store LiPo batteries, but Solo's Smart batteries are a class unto themselves.
It seems pretty simple to me, though. I've got 8 batteries and they behave identically - apparently they stay "awake" for awhile after being charged or used a little, then go to sleep. Kind of like a computer.
Try it yourself - charge one, then leave it alone for a day. When you then press the power button to see the charge level you'll notice it takes two presses of the button. One is obviously to wake it up.
Whatever the case, if you charge it then leave it be for a couple of weeks, it'll be at roughly 50%.
Yep, that's not scientific and your mileage may vary, but I don't worry about my batteries any more. Charge 'em and forget 'em. They'll drop that far and no further.

I was not sure how smart these batteries were. I charged one last Tuesday that never got used and today ( Sunday ) it still had a full charge. The DJI batteries self storage charge after 3 or 4 days I think. This is good to know. Thank you.
